Dear Folks -
This week my talk was titled, "Not For Sissies." I first heard my father say, during the period of time my mother was dying, "Getting old ain't for sissies." What got me thinking about that was the saying of Jesus that if we are to have the life he talked about and lived, we must become as children. Being and becoming a child isn't for sissies, either. I talk some about the state of child well-being in Texas and, then a bit about what "becoming as a child might mean for us." It ain't for sissies.
