Dear Folks -

We need a spirituality as big as our growing understanding of the cosmos.

I am coming more and more to see that wise and useful teachings, teachings designed to assist us in moving away from the constraints of the ego into the wisdom and compassion of the Self, are frequently offensive. This is a dilemma for the spiritual teacher. No one wants to be “offended.” We want to be comforted and assured.

What got me headed down the path I take in this week’s “life talk” in Ordinary Life is what is, to our culture’s and our ego’s stance, the most offensive thing Jesus ever said.
