Dear Folks -

This week’s talk in Ordinary Life was the first of a two part presentation that I am calling “Living THE Question. It is my reflection on one of the teachings found in The Gospel of Thomas.

My contention is that our lives, and the quality of our lives, are shaped by the questions we ask. We are constantly asking questions from the time we get up until the time we go to bed. Most of these we are likely unaware of. They are reflexive. “Is it time to get up?” “What’s for breakfast?” “Am I prepared for that meeting today?” And, on it goes.

We do, of course, come to the point of asking big, life-changing questions: “Will you spend the rest of your life with me?” “Is this what I am to do with my life?” Etc.

There are, however, questions that exist in the realm of “the spirit.” These questions have to do with “who am I?” and “how do I live a loving and compassionate life?” “What part can I play in creating a better world?"

The talk I offer in Ordinary Life this week is a step in the direction of helping us all answer these questions. The complete text, the presentation slides and audio version can be accessed using the links below.

Be well!

Much love,

Bill Kerley
