Dear Folks -

The time is drawing near when Michael Morwood will be with us. I know that Monday evenings may be for you either inconvenient or protected time. Even so, I hope you will schedule your calendar to come to hear him speak on Monday, June 3. He will be speaking in the same place that we gather each Sunday.

The title of the talk I offered in Ordinary Life this week was -

The Best Advice In The World

It is also the best advice for the world.

It is my current understanding of what it means to abide in and by the teaching “by their fruits you shall know them.” The advice I see in this teaching is simple - be your Self. Not, be yourself. There is a huge difference between the two phrases.

I asked Brooke Summers-Perry, a certified spiritual director and frequent contributor to the Ordinary Life blogs, to share with us her version of “Awareness Examen” In the process of doing that, she shared a wonderful poem she had written. Hearing the poem is not enough. You have to see it. You can do that by viewing the presentation slides of the talk. The handout that she spoke from, which is a roadmap for a lifetime of spiritual practice, is also available using the link below.

That is a very brief summary of the talk.

You can read or download the text from which I spoke, view the presentation slides, listen to the audio of the talk and/or watch the video of the talk using the links below.

If you are reading this, I want you to know how grateful I am for and to you.

Be well and much love,

Bill Kerley
