Dear Folks -

For those of you who are wondering, yes, we did capture a video recording of Michael Morwood’s presentation and it will be posted on the Ordinary Life website soon. I’ll let you know when that happens.

There is a story in the narratives about Jesus where a paralytic man is brought to Jesus for healing. His friends can’t get to Jesus because of the crowd so they take the man up on the roof, dig a hole in the roof and let the man down to Jesus. It is a wonderful story. It is not a “news report” but a parable the early followers of Jesus told about love, forgiveness and compassion. In the talk I offered about the story, I tried to open the doors of our understanding by identifying with all of the characters in the story - those who block the way of others, those who are judgmental about crossing boundaries, those who have the courage it takes to find a new perspective and be willing to “dig” our way to hope and healing for all.

That is a very brief summary of the talk I offered this week in Ordinary Life. I called it -

Use Your Head, Live From Your Heart
