Interrupted and Interruptors

Dear Ones -

After finishing writing the teaching I will be offering this week in Ordinary Life, I realized that it is “an interlude.” An “interlude” is usually a short piece of music inserted between larger sections of something - between scenes in a play, between movements in a larger work, etc. It serves to create a pause, a shift in mood, to allow a time for reflection. Don’t worry. I’m not going to sing or perform music. I do want to teach about an interruption that occurred in the life of Jesus and how that is applicable to us. The title I’ve given the teaching is -

Interrupted in Order to Be Interruptors

In the Jesus narratives there is a story of a time when Jesus was interrupted in such a way as to cause him to change his mind about the way he was going about his mission. He then turns to his followers and says, “be like this.”
