Ordinary Life Sunday Morning Online
May 31, 2026
with Rev. Dr. Bill Kerley

Dear Ones -

This Sunday at St. Paul’s there will be a Choral Evensong featuring the music of Tchaikovsky, Rose, Howells, Boyle, and Bach. There will be a reception following honoring Emily Amos. Though she will be with us through June 21, this is a time of recognition for her as she leaves to assume the position of organ scholar at Guildford Cathedral in England. For those of you who attend Ordinary Life remotely the service will be live streamed. It is at 4 p.m. https://player.video.wowza.com/hosted/spgyvss6/player.html

The title I am giving the teaching I will offer this week in Ordinary Life is -Vain Illusions and False Strivings

The teaching is my current take on the teaching of Jesus about not judging. Our culture is rife, especially in this time of political turmoil, with judgments of all kinds. Outrageous things are being said by all sorts of people about those who differ from them in almost any way. Our illusions lead us down futile and false trails.
