Dear Folks -

The title I gave to the talk I offered in Ordinary Life this week is -

Clear and Confusing
Confusing and Clear

Among all the teachings we receive from wise and useful spiritual teachers are admonitions to ask for what we want, seek for what we need, knock on doors that seem closed to us. Jesus clearly taught this.

What is confusing about it is that very often we don’t seem to get what we ask for, find what we are seeking, have the doors opened we are knocking on?

What gives here?

These teachings can only be received at the non-dual and mystical level. When so received they give birth to a stance of trust and confidence with which we can go forward in the living of our lives with peace, love and joy. Of course, this just doesn’t happen. It takes practice. It takes developing the essential spiritual skill of “waiting."

That’s a brief summary of the talk. As is often the case, the audio version is somewhat different from the actual text from which I spoke - there are several additional “bits” that got added in the delivery. You can read the text, find the audio version and the presentation slides by using the links below.

If you are reading this, I want you to know how grateful I am for and to you.

Be well and much love,

Bill Kerley
