Has Jesus Found You?

ORDINARY LIFE - Thoughts and Ideas to Help You Live a Happier Life

Summary for October 30, 2016

Dear Folks -

Perhaps nothing turns people off or is a bigger risk to undertake than that of using “religious” language outside certain restricted areas. I have a cartoon that shows a man sitting alone on a subway seat. He is wearing a T-shirt that says, “Ask me about my religion.” Yep! That would guarantee isolation from the vast majority of people.

However, the question that I began this week’s talk in Ordinary Life with was: “Have you found Jesus?” It is, in a country many like to call “a Christian nation,” a most important question. This week’s talk explores the implications of this question, why it is difficult to ask - and to answer. Then, turns the whole thing upside-down and asks, “Has Jesus Found You?"

That’s a brief summary of the talk I offered this week in Ordinary Life. If you interested in the puns told or the illustration of how Matthew, the hurricane, is an example of our illusory nature, you’ll find that only in the audio version. Links to the text of the talk, the presentations slides and the audio version of the talk are below.

Be well and much love,

Bill Kerley
