Dear Folks -

I called the talk I offered in Ordinary Life this week

“A Safe and Energizing Perspective on the Sacred”

This is one of those times when viewing the presentation slides will enhance the experience of the talk.

Change is hard for everyone. For example, no matter how often you have moved from one place to another, any move is difficult. In some ways the times in which we live are like the turbulent ‘60s. A lot that people assumed was solid doesn’t seem to be. The way many thought the future would be isn’t turning out that way. The times are chaotic. Divisions and fractures are deep and painful for many. Fear evokes anger. And, on it goes.

I think, however, this is a great time in which to be alive. For one thing, in order to create a future that is in line with our highest spiritual principles, our best is called forth from us. The need for clarity about and commitment to the truth is urgent. All of this is exciting and energizing. For some it is a scary time. There is, however, every reason to be hopeful.

That is a very brief summary of the talk I offered in Ordinary Life this week.
