Summary for November 29, 2020

Dear Folks -

The title we gave to the time in Ordinary Life this week was

Living Inside God's Vast Panorama

I began by affirming that in doing our spiritual/religious work we need to stay mindful of at least two things: the restrictiveness of ignorance and stupidity in our culture and the terrifyingly exciting knowledge and wisdom coming to us from evolutionary cosmology. We need to maintain the ability to think for ourselves, to separate truth from lies and to advocate for change. Holly brings her insights about cosmology and couples this with the importance and power of love. We need to move beyond the confines of doctrinal Christianity. We have to do our own deep spiritual work.

That is a very brief summary of our time in Ordinary Life this week.

You can find the text we had in front of us, the presentation slides and the audio version of the talk using the links below.

Also, be aware that we have instituted a weekly podcast. It is called “In Between.” You can access this through the Ordinary Life website.

If you are reading this, I want you to know how grateful I am for and to you.

Be well and much love,

Bill Kerley
