Dear Folks -
This week in Ordinary Life I began by giving a status report on and about Ordinary Life during this time when we are unable to gather physically. You can read the words I spoke using the link below. In summary I said that Ordinary Life will return when it is safe for us to do so and we will be stronger and better. I’m not going anywhere. I too miss what we had. In this interim time I invite you to explore with me how we can go forward in a way that engages and energizes. You can see the questions in the text. Feel free to respond to them.
At the end of the time I gave a brief reflection on what it means to be in a space of liminality. We have been forced into one and as I heard someone else say, “Let’s not waste this opportunity.”
In between these two pieces Holly Hudley and I asked each other questions. We talked about books important to us and I had a chance to amplify on what I mean by our having “a moral obligation to be happy.” There is no text for this but it is on the audio version of the talk.
We raised over $3,000 on the art auction. Money will go directly for Covid-19 relief efforts.
I am excited about and by a new “series” we will begin next week - “Inter-Being: How Jesus and Buddha can Guide Us Through the Pandemic."

If you are reading this, I want you to know how grateful I am for and to you.
Be well and much love,
Bill Kerley
