Last week Bill left us dangling with this idea about hope. Today we talk about what it could look like to live with active hope. It is intergenerational and radically imaginative. There are people who came before us who dreamt of the unbelievable aspects of our world today—going to space, for example, or making a feature film on a big screen. We live among so many miracles.
For us to remain actively engaged with hope, it behooves us to think about the future. What is the world we want to live in? What is our deepest imagining? If we can answer that question, we can pull the future into the present by taking steps toward that world. Someone dreamt about you and me, made us possible. Who or what might we dream about that we can live as if hope is alive? We’ll get more into this on Sunday, so I hope you will join us!
