Dear Folks -

What is or are the questions that shape your life’s journey?

In this time and in our culture we need a new core narrative that provides us with true security and guidance for the living of our lives. The narrative our culture is following is self-destructive. We need one that will offer healing for our many wounds. As a way to introduce the talks I will be offering in the future, I offered a retelling of the story of Perceval and the Grail. Years of research had been put into this story by Emma Jung, Carl Jung’s wife. I first heard it told and interpreted by Robert Johnson. If you read no further in this summary, I highly recommend his book “He: Understanding Masculine Psychology” as a tool for spiritual growth. We will, in the weeks ahead, be looking at the questions Jesus asked people. They are meant to reposition us, to put us down in new territory. I believe that currently the Sacred is crying out to us through the earth and its inhabitants, “Do you love me?” Our well-being depends on hearing that question and being able to answer is with a story that heals rather than divides. That is a very brief summary of the talk I offered. I called it -
