Dear Folks -

This week in Ordinary Life I offered the second of a two-part reflection on what, to me, is the high-water mark in the document I am basing the “life talks” I offer on. It is the question Jesus asks: “Who do you say that I am?"

Everybody in Western culture has an answer to this question. No exceptions! Many people profess to have answers to the question that do not seem to have any relevance to daily living whatsoever. This is one of the reasons, I am convinced, that the fastest growing “religious group” in America is “Spiritual-but-NOT-Religious.”

At least two things are required to begin answer the question appropriately:

First, an accurate understanding of who Jesus is.

Second, an awareness of who we are.
