Dear Folks -
If you have read and/or listened to my teachings, you know that I believe that growing in emotional and spiritual intelligence is not a solitary task. Even though each of us has to do her or his own work and assume “personal responsibility” for the living of our lives, we only exist in relationship. Even more, I believe each of us has to have a teacher or teachers to whom we turn to show us the way. If the teacher is a good one, eventually the teacher “pulls the rug out from under us” so that we will learn that there is nothing we can do to be. Once, however, we are busy being, there are likely many things we will be busy doing.
This sounds confusing. I am aware of this. The reason for this is because non-duality cannot be contained in or confined to language. All language is dualistic. We can, however, get glimpses of non-duality at the very edges of dualistic consciousness.
In essence the talk I offered this week in Ordinary Life is an attempt to get as close to the edge of non-duality as I am capable of doing at the moment.
You can read the text of the talk using one of the links below. As is often the case, the audio version is somewhat different from the text from which I spoke. The The audio version and presentation slides can be found on the Ordinary Life can be accessed using the links below.
Be well!
Much love,
Bill Kerley
