Some Assembly Required

ORDINARY LIFE - Thoughts and Ideas to Help You Live a Happier Life

Summary for April 8, 2018

Dear Folks -

I am frequently receiving through the mail or electronically advertisements for books or programs that promise me “quick and easy” paths to success in whatever arena I desire. I can lose weight, cook gourmet meals, learn another language, have peace of mind, etc. through a few minutes of effortless work on my part. All of this is a sham, of course. Genuine and solid growth in any area of life requires discipline and work.

This is especially true when it comes to what I call “psycho/spiritual growth.” Religious, spiritual and political views and opinions are not quickly or easily changed.

We are living, like it or not, in a time of a huge paradigm shift. It is coming whether we want it or believe it or not. What we have a choice about is how we participate in it.

That is a very brief summary or the talk I offered in Ordinary Life this week. I called it -

“Some Assembly Required - Batteries Not Included”

If you are reading this, I want you to know how grateful I am for and to you.

Be well and much love,
