Next Monday, January 11, I will be giving a talk sponsored by the Jung Center here in Houston. It will be a live-streamed, webinar event. The talk is titled, "Hope in a Time of Disaster and Distrust." If you are interested in attending this event, click here for more details.

Holly Hudley was out of town this week. Teaching without her and with no one physically present was a different and challenging experience. I chose this first Sunday of the new year to revisit the theme of "Living Between the 'No-Longer' and the 'Not-Yet.'" How have the events of the past year affected what this emphasis means now? The fact that we live in an evolving field of energy at every level is still so frightening to so many people. It reminds me of a sermon Paul Tillich once preached - "The Shaking of the Foundations." The reaction is that religious, and political, fundamentalism is increasing. Yet, the fact remains, we know even more than we knew just two years ago about the nature of the cosmos in which we live out our lives and seek to do so in meaningful ways. I called the talk -

It's Not a Gap. It's a Chasm! But, It's Okay
