Dear Ones -
We called the time in Ordinary Life this week
The Future of Faith
We reflected in the second part of the Nicodemus story. Nicodemus is a symbol of an old way of law and of someone who prefers the darkness to light. We can’t be “born from above” unless we move through the darkness into light. It is not a place but a process. People who live in a controlled world will never understand the birth of new consciousness. The crisis we are in is caused by our loving the darkness more than the light. Moving from darkness to light is both possible and difficult. G.K. Chesterton wrote, “Christianity has not beed tried and found wanting. It has been found difficult and not tried.”
That’s a brief summary of the time in Ordinary Life this week.
